Made these yummy black bean brownies for the first time, inspired by Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Black Bean Brownies as seen on Dr. Oz. We are all striving to eat less actual sugar and less wheat/gluten, these are a wonderful option.
You can play around with the amount of dates used. I used way less than what was called for, and you can also try already baked sweet potatoes instead of the dates.
I also soaked my own dried black beans rather than canned ones, less waste (even though it’s recyclable) and plus cans often have BPA, and skipped the chia seeds.
