Ricardo is well-traveled and here are some of his favorite places in America…
My favorite place in the U.S. to visit is…I love Miami because the sky looks as if God painted it by hand Himself. I love to drive near the ocean during the sunset. Also, the air smells delicious!
My favorite truck stop is…Oh, there are so many! A few years ago, I used to travel on my Harley all over America, Mexico, and South America. I hit a few great truck stops in the US. There is one in Florida, near the intersection of the I-595 and the Florida Turnpike. I loved it because it has medical and dental clinic, Spa, Game room and even a chrome shop for car and bike lovers.
My favorite airport in the U.S. is…Well, American Airlines’ Admirals Club at Denver airport is fantastic. It has lots of technology, a room for kids with appropriate programming tech, free drinks, and a great atmosphere. There’s also the Continental President’s Club at Houston airport, and the OneWorld lounge in LAX.
Some great towns to visit are…Tepoztlán in Mexico is a small ancient town less than an hour away from Mexico City. I used to go every weekend on my Harley. It is located near the Tepozteco Mountain and is known as a mystical center due to its special energy and the pyramid located at the top of the mountain. At the center of the town, there is a beautiful XVI century Augustinian Convent. At the back of the convent there is an archaeological museum. It has fantastic restaurants famous for their great Mexican cuisine. There’s also San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina.
This is a magical place with an island on which Walt Disney got inspired to write Bambi. During the winter, it is really cold and cozy. They have beautiful wooden cabins and great hot chocolate to help you get warm. There are also superb landscapes and a wonderful ambiance.
Travel is the best way to get to know yourself through learning about other cultures, costumes, and places. Our planet is already small, but we keep setting each other apart by color, nationalities, and religions while forgetting that we are all brothers and sisters who happen to share the same planet. Everyone should travel at least once a year. Enjoy!
